KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Bhim Prasad Upadhyay has been appointed the Director General at the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DOLIDAR). First ranking official among two other deputy director generals at the DOLIDAR, Upadhyay was given the responsibility of Director General by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development on August 29. Director General Bhupendra Bahadur Basnet had retired the same day. The government had set up the DOLIDAR on August 24, 1998 for infrastructure developments in the rural areas. Upadhyay is known as development expert.
